Description: The library at Audubon Elementary has been out of use since COVID-19 and Hurricane Ida, turning into a cluttered storage space. Weāre launching a multi-phase service project to restore it into a clean, organized, and welcoming place for students to learn and exploreājust in time for the 2025-2026 school year. Teachers have shared that literacy rates at the school have declined, and transforming the library will be a meaningful step in supporting students and fostering a love of reading. Join us as we declutter, clean, and bring this space back to life!

Description: One Heart NOLA (OHN) is a faith-based nonprofit that supports foster youth and families in the Greater New Orleans area. Their mission is to equip aged-out foster youth with the tools, support, and relationship. One powerful story from OHNās founder, Terri, highlights their impact: a young woman aging out of foster care received a donated car through the organization. That car allowed her to get to work and eventually pay for college. One heart helps to set individuals up into opportunities that allow the trajectory for their life to grow. In partnership with the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), OHN has helped keep siblings together, supported reunifying families, provided basic necessities, covered high school senior expenses, and awarded scholarships. Our church is excited to come alongside One Heart NOLA in their mission. Below are serve project opportunities were we will assist them in organizing donated resources and preparing items for distribution to foster families and youth.

Description: Unbound Now is a faith-driven organization committed to fighting human trafficking and walking alongside survivors on their journey to healing. Their staff is deeply intentionalābuilding trust and meaningful relationships over time. They celebrate birthdays, attend counseling and doctor appointments, grab coffee to process hard days, and consistently show up. They care deeply and love well throughout the process. Unbound Now provides 24/7 crisis response in partnership with law enforcement, safe spaces, and long-term support for youth who have experienced exploitation. Through prevention education, community outreach, and strong partnerships with local agencies, they serve the vulnerable, empower the Church to respond, and advocate for change at a legislative level. Their regional director, Holly Tupper, is currently working to extend care for survivors from age 18 through 21. See below for opportunities to serve with Unbound Now!
